MIXED BUSINESS
This is the new CD. The photo was taken in October, 2003 in Lillyfield, a suberb of Sydney, by Viktorija Macens. The design is by Paul Robert Burton. I don't know the girl in the picture, she was walking by when Viktorija was shooting and I asked her to stand still a minute. Easy. Then I had to track her down for permission when the pictures came out and we decided to use this one. I was able to find her by putting a note up in the store next to the lottery tickets. It looked to me like she was scratching a ticket. And what's inside? Tasty treats of all sorts. Like the store, the CD offers a mix of musical items. Eleven original songs recorded in September, 2003, at Paul Burton's A.I. M. Records studio in Sydney. The songs run through several styles of popular (I hope) music, some recorded with a band, others on my own. Paul Burton produced and played acoustic bass, percussion, nylon stringed rhythm guitar and added various other spices. Arne Hanna played electric guitar. Tao Wanders, drums. Don Hopkins, piano. Jim Conway, harmonica. Making music with this bunch of blokes was what you spend a lifetime waiting for. Track List
